Description

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the fresh waves of youth awakening spread out from the west coast of the United States with the Jesus People Movement.  Following this, in the United Kingdom during the early 1970s, a similar spiritual groundswell was beginning to increase in the University of Cambridge, which had previously seen waves of missionaries sent across the globe following the sacrificial leadership of the Cambridge Seven moving to China in 1885.

This wave of awakening grew stronger each year in the 1970s, climaxing in a one week mission in February 1974, when a leader from the Jesus People Movement in the States called Barry McGuire, joined Rev David MacInnes in a historic mission to Cambridge.

This book records the reflections, after 50 years, from 70 of those who were involved with and impacted by this move of God.  The waves which then spread out from this move of God have touched many different spheres and many different nations.  Our hope and prayer is that this will inspire a response in you to believe that God can and will impact our universities, colleges, schools, communities and nations in the same way today.
