ADVANCE is ...
Advance means to move forward and make progress in a purposeful way. We are a body of believers who have taken Jesus at His Word and passionately believe that to follow Him we must ADVANCE His KINGDOM. This is forceful and intentional language acknowledging that there is a contest for the life and destiny of every human being. For too long the Church has been passive when its real purpose is to be a powerful vehicle for transformation and the establishing of God’s divine order in the earth. Jesus uses the Greek word “Ecclesia” for the Body of people He calls out as His followers because the word was used in the ancient world to describe those called out as legislators who transformed cities and regions to look like Rome. When Jesus says, “I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail” [Matthew 16:18] this is because His true Church is one that is characterised by His power and a love that dies to self and defeats all foes, releasing transforming life. We have adopted Kingdom Advance into our name because it defines our raison d’etre.
